The ExoMars PanCam is composed of two wide-angle stereo cameras, one high resolution camera and an interface unit to communicate with the Rover. The PanCam optical bench (design as of mid-2010) is depicted in the schematic diagram shown here: 1. Two Wide Angle Cameras for panoramic imaging with a 34° field of view (FOV), a CMOS image sensor and equipped with a 12-position filter wheel; 2. One High Resolution Camera with a 5° field of view (FOV), a coloured CMOS image sensor and an autofocus mechanism; 3. The PanCam Interface Unit to communicate with the Rover; and 4. The optical bench arranged on the Pan-Tilt Unit on top of the ExoMars rover mast assembly.
