Albert Haldemann, ESA’s ExoMars Payload and Assembly Integration and Verification Manager, pictured walking on small sand dunes at the eastern end of Dakhleh Oasis, Western Desert, Egypt. At this location, he has worked to map the effects of an impact event that occurred during the Stone Age, around 150,000 years ago. Artefact evidence also shows that the area was inhabited during this period.
