This graph is of measurements made with the Ultraviolet and Visible (UVIS) channel of the NOMAD instrument on the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter, during the near-Earth commissioning (NEC) in April 2016.

This UVIS solar spectrum was taken when the instrument was pointing directly towards the Sun during the NEC.

UVIS takes a full spectrum every measurement, in the ultraviolet and visible spectral regions from 200 - 650nm. The sharp features are solar absorption lines, and the general shape can be attributed to the solar continuum combined with the instrument transmission function.

The ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter was launched on 14 March 2016. During the NEC solar spectra were obtained for calibration purposes.
