Powder Sample Dosing and Distribution System with sample

Engineering prototype, or 'breadboard' of the Powder Sample Dosing and Distribution System (PSDDS) component of the ExoMars rover Sample Preparation and Distribution System (SPDS), which will form part of the Analytical Laboratory Drawer (ALD). In this view, a powdered sample can be seen in one of the funnels.

The PSDDS collects the powder from the Crushing Station (CS) and rotates to deliver a measured quantity of powder into the Refillable Container that is mounted on the Powdered Sample Handling System (PSHS). The PSHS is a carousel that will move the samples to various stations for processing and analysis.
