Pictured here is the ExoMars 2016 Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) core module during integration of its electrical subsystems at Thales Alenia Space, Cannes, France in November 2014. The gold-coloured cones near the upper left and right of the core module are the straylight baffles for the star trackers. The trackers themselves are in the boxes immediately below the baffles. The TGO instruments will be mounted on the two horizontal panels above and below the star trackers. This will ensure optimum alignment of the instruments with the trackers, regardless of thermally-induced mechanical distortions in the main structure.
