The transport truck carrying Schiaparelli (the entry, descent and landing demonstration module) ready to depart Cannes, France, where Schiaparelli has been for the assembly, integration and testing phase.
Both Schiaparelli and the Trace Gas Orbiter were transported by convoi exceptionnel to Turin-Caselle airport, their departure point for Baikonur.
Launch of the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter and Schiaparelli, on a Russian Proton rocket from the Baikonur cosmodrome, is scheduled for 14 March, at the start of a launch window that remains open until 25 March.
