Date: 24 February 2015
Satellite: ExoMars 2016 Trace Gas Orbiter
Location: Thales Alenia Space, Cannes, France
Copyright: Thales Alenia Space/Imag[IN]

The Trace Gas Orbiter pictured in the Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) at the Cannes (France) facility of Thales Alenia Space.

The CATR is where electromagnetic compatibility tests are performed. These tests demonstrate that all the spacecraft's systems will operate without interfering with one another, and that they are sufficiently immune from external electromagnetic radiation.

The large covered dish is the High Gain Antenna.
